Zahamena National Park

Zahamena National Park is found in Madagascar. It was established in 1997. It covers an area of about 423 km2. It has amazing limestone topography. It also has a unique endemic biodiversity. As a result, it is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Other similar sites are the Ranomafana National Park and Andringitra National Park among others.

  • Wildlife

Zahamena National Park is rich in wildlife. It is home to the endangered lemur species. It has recorded 13 species of these unique primates. Some of these are the Aye-Aye, the white ruffed lemur, and the northern bamboo lemur. It is home to the Fossa. This large predator looks like a cat. It is the biggest threat to lemurs in the park. You can spot the mongoose. It is another predator that feeds on snakes. The park is home to many other species of amphibians, fish, snakes, and mammals.
