Check in at your lodge in the Maasai Mara as soon as you arrive. After dinner, you'll head out on a late-afternoon game drive where you might spot black-maned lions, elephants, leopards, cheetah, buffaloes, and other plains species. It's time to get back to the lodge for the night.

Day 2

Today, you'll be leaving Maasai Mara through the Olololo gate in Mara West, which will bring you to the opposite side of the park. As soon as you cross the border, you'll go through customs processing and then be on your way to Serengeti, where you may enjoy a game drive that lasts for up to two hours over the park's beautiful plains. The Big Five are abundant in the Serengeti. Have a nice meal and stay the night in the lodge or tent.

Day 4

Full Day at The Serengeti National Park

We'll proceed on a morning game drive along the Sogore River Circuit, which winds into the plains south of the Seronera River; here, you might see lions, Thomson's gazelle, topi, ostriches, and cheetahs.
Visitor centers are located near the Seronera lodge and public campsites in the Serengeti, where you will go after your game drive. There are some great animal exhibits and a gift store with brochures and maps for the area to be found at the sente. We'll have our lunch from the store, as it sells beverages as well.
In the late afternoon, we'll take a drive over the famous Kopjes Circuit, an anti-clockwise loop around the Maasai Kopjes that's home to a pride of lions and a few monstrous cobras. Kopjes are granite outcrops that have been worn by the elements and are found sporadically over plains; many of them function as mini-ecosystems by offering shelter and fresh water from pools formed in the rock after rains. Since it's dry, most animals come to the Kopjes to drink, making them prime hunting territory for lions. Come back to the lodge for dinner and a night's rest.
