5 Days Samburu-Lake Nakuru-Lake Naivasha Tour/Safari
Overview
This will definitely be such an amazing safari. The combo safari will include 3 amazing destinations: Lake Nakuru National Park, Samburu National Park and Lake Naivasha. The amazing bit of this safari is how it will give you the chance to explore the Samburu semi-arid place, the flamingo densely populated and low-lying Lake Nakuru, and finally the nice-looking fresh water Lake Naivasha. Each of the three tour zones have wonderful features that make them so unique for you.
Samburu National Reserve is rather one unique one, given that it lies in the semi-arid zone of the Northern Kenya. However, despite its geographical location there is much of fauna that you will like. Among them are lions, reticulated giraffes, Somali ostriches, beisa oryxs, cheetahs, elephants, and rare grevy’s zebra.
Lake Nakuru National Park on the other hand is perhaps the opposite of Samburu National Reserve. Its lies low, at the bottom of the Rift Valley, and is such a calm park, with over 400 bird species. The flamingos, which in their millions dominate the lake paints it pinkish. You would be amazed by a scene of the lake. At the park, you will have the chance to visit the rhino sanctuary, where you will see the well-kept rhinos. In the park, you will most likely see other animals such as Rothschild Giraffe, buffalos, lions, elephants, gazelles, among others.
Lake Naivasha on its part come with its uniqueness. It’s such a huge mass of freshwater lake. In the park, you will take a boat ride, and perhaps pay a visit to the famous Hells Gate.

Tour Plan
During to the rather long distance (332 km, taking 6+ hours ), we anticipate the journey to be long, and somehow tedious. However, we will try as much as possible to make you enjoy everything. We will pick up up from Nairobi early enough after your breakfast. We will snail through several attractive sceneries through out the journey, and perhaps the most significant will be the huge pineapple and sisal plantations. Around lunch time, we will probably be reaching our destination, the Samburu National Reserve in the Nother Frontier District. You will have your lunch and later proceed for an afternoon game drive where we expect to sight most of the animals given in our above description. We will retire back to our camp/lodge for dinner, and there after spend your night there.
This will be a full day game drive through out the vast semi-arid park. From a distance, you will be able to see Mathew’s Range. One noticeable feature about this park is that it is not so much populated with fauna like the other parks, probably because of the semi-arid nature of the place. However, you will be able to spot among other beisa orynx, leopards, reticulated giraffe and grevy’s zebra. We will definitely drive past the Uaso Nyiro River, an important feature that gives the park some green life along it’ meandering course. In the evening, you will retire back to the lodge/camp for dinner and overnight spending.
We will start our day 3 by an early morning game drive at the Samburu National Reserve, before getting back to the camp/lodge for your breakfast. We will then check out and start our journey for Lake Nakuru, where we anticipate to arrive at lunch hour. After check in to the Nakuru Lodge/camp, we will take our lunch and thereafter have a wonderful game drive in the park. You will be excited by sight-seeing several of the over 400+ bird species, and most noticeable almost all over will be the flamingos, plovers, white pelicans and egrets. We also anticipate to see some of (or all) of the big five, and several of the carnivore family. We shall close our game drive by 6:30PM, and retire back to our camp/lodge for dinner and thereafter an evening spending.
We will take our usual early breakfast at our lodge/camp in Lake Nakuru and then proceed to our morning game drive as we enroute to Lake Naivasha. We will arrive at our Naivasha camp/lodge by lunch hour, and after our check-in, we will have a lunch. In the afternoon, we will have a boat riding expedition in the beautiful fresh water lake. We will also have a good opportunity to visit the Crescent Island. In the evening, we will return back to our camp/hotel, for dinner and overnight spending.
As usual, you will have your early breakfast before checking-out of the hotel/camp. We will the start our journey back to Nairobi. We will have few stop overs along the way to view the great rift valley on the various view point zones. We anticipate to arrive at Nairobi at lunch hour, have your lunch at Carnivore Restaurant, and then drop you off at tour Nairobi residence hotel, or at the airport. We wish you a nice safari on this one, enjoy it.

This is the best tour on the east coast! It was amazing how many places we visited and what great memories we made!
We always stay at here when in town. The location is great, staff is wonderful and we love the overall feel. Beautiful view from the here.
It is a great place to shop not too far from New York. We took the bus from Port Authority and traveled through the countryside to get there.
