Some of the lemur species are Aye-Aye, eastern woolly, red-bellied, greater dwarf, and greater bamboo among others. Most tourists are after the golden bamboo lemur. The species is only seen in this park. Other common animals are frogs, lizards, snakes, and bats among others.

The most common species are ground rollers, especially between September and January. Other common species are crested drongo, Madagascar cuckoo-shrike, and Blue vanga among others. You can enjoy birding at any time of the year. But most birds are active during the wet months.
Scenery
The range of altitudes creates different forest types in the park. The lowland and cloud forests host different species of plants. The hilly terrain offers great views of the canopy. The Namarona River is scenic as it gives access to a stunning waterfall. The park also hosts over 90 butterfly species giving it a spectacular view.
Climate
Ranomafana National Park has a warm to temperate climate. The wet season is usually warm and humid. This is because of the park’s high altitude. It is between November and March. Daytime temperatures range between 25 and 27 degrees Celsius. Nighttime temperatures are around 14 degrees Celsius.
The dry season is between May to October. It is less humid than the wet season and cool. Afternoon temperatures range between 23 and 25 degrees Celsius. Nighttime temperatures are between 8 and 11 degrees Celsius.
