CROCODILE SPOTTING AT THE MAMBA VILLAGE

Ever been to crocodile spotting that will make your experience worthy of remembering? The Mombasa Mamba Village offers you one of the best experiences and excursions wildlife offers, being the largest crocodile farm in Africa, with over 1000 young and old crocodiles. The mamba village was established in 1972, covering over 17 acres. This experience is wild as it exposes you to one-on-one with the wild. It is situated in the upmarket Nyali Area, just a 15-minute drive from Mombasa town. The best time to visit Mamba Village is during the feeding time at 5 pm, although the farm is open from 9 am to 6 pm. During the visit, you will be acquainted with the various crocodile species present, their roles in the ecosystem, and their lifespans. The ecosystem in the center is a conservation program from when the place was a quarry.

In this center, you will find pools filled with every variation of crocodiles, where you will learn the behaviors and the life cycle of the crocodiles. You will see the lifecycle of these crocodiles, right from when they are hatched to fully grown adults. The Big Daddy is the nickname given to the oldest crocodile in the center, being over 100 years old and over 5 meters long. This animal is known as the man-eating crocodile, which had eaten about 5 people before its capture 31 years ago. A tour guide will be assigned to you to guarantee your safety and help you get the most memorable experience in the center. The entrance fee is relatively cheap, ranging from 200 Kenyan shillings for Kenyan citizens and 1000 Kenyan shillings for foreigners. Try to fix a date to see the wild crocodiles at the Mombasa Mamba Village Centre, as it is a great place to enjoy nature and crocodile spotting.
