CAMEL RIDING ALONG THE BEACH

Ever ridden a camel along a beach? Well, Mombasa offers you this experience in its numerous beach spots along the Indian Ocean. The best beaches to experience these fascinating camel rides include Dian Beach, Nyali Beach, Mtwapa Beach and Bamburi Beach. The beaches offer the best sceneries along the shore, and one gets to have lots of fun and experience the hospitality of the different beach restaurants. If you are new to Mombasa, you will get an adventurous tour on the white sandy beaches, witness the cool breeze of the coastline, and, of course, get to have a once-in-a-lifetime ride on camels. Through camel riding, you also get to know the native community more, get an insight into the different cultures in Mombasa, and maybe even experience it up close. Since, for many, it is always a first-time experience, you will always have a tour guide that helps you navigate the coastline with the camel and takes you to places of interest to tourists.

Camel rides have existed in Mombasa since the 20th century and became commercial once the residents tapped into the tourism industry. Camels were known to be desert animals but have been introduced as a means of transport among tourists, such as camel safaris. Nowadays, tourists from abroad come to these beaches and experience these camel rides, and they get an intense experience. These camel rides are about 10 minutes, and the price ranges from 800 Kshs to 2000 Kshs, depending on the tourist season. Out on the coastlines, you experience the feeling of traversing a desert except for the cool ocean breeze. Therefore, if you have not visited these beaches along the coastline of Mombasa, you set time to do so and have an adventure that will always be memorable. A camel ride is an experience not to be missed when you visit Mombasa.
