Tour Plan
Kenya, an East African country, borders the Indian Ocean to the west. It includes the Great Rift Valley and the highlands in addition to the savannah and lakes found there. The Big Five—lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, and rhino—are all found in this area.
Your Kenyan host, Westeasttours.com, is looking forward to meeting you at the airport. In Kenya, it is customary to provide guests with a gift as a way of showing their delight at having them visit. A branded safari hat and other safari wear would make an excellent present.
After that, you will be taken to your hotel in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya. Just kick back and enjoy a night out in a bustling Kenyan metropolis. In the evening, head up to the rooftop bar and take in the view of Nairobi National Park while sipping on a drink.

We will depart after a hearty breakfast and drive to Mount Kenya National Park, where we will have lunch at the Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club. The Fairmont Hotel can be found amid the gentle slopes of Kenya's tallest mountain, Mount Kenya, and boasts breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside from its 100 acres of planted gardens.
After Africa's highest peak, Mount Kilimanjaro, Mount Kenya stands as the continent's second highest peak. The natural beauty of the area is breathtaking. It is an unspoiled environment full of lakes, glaciers, dense forest, mineral springs, and a variety of rare and endangered species of animals, high altitude adapted plains wildlife, and distinctive montane and alpine plants. The mountain's rocky, glacier-covered peaks make for a picturesque backdrop for activities like caving and rock climbing. Camping, cave exploring, game observing rare animal species, bird watching, and mountain climbing are the major activities. The hotel is where we will have dinner and spend the night.
Please bring a sweater and comfortable shoes or boots for the hiking.

We'll leave for Samburu National Reserve, in northern Kenya, after breakfast. Beautiful scenery awaits you along the road. Get there in time for lunch, take a short break, and then go on a game drive in the afternoon. The reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, zebra, and gerenuk (a type of gazelle) also call the Samburu region home. On a sunny day, you may look out your window and see a herd of elephants drinking from the Ewaso Nyiro river, which is a source of fresh water. The river empties into the massive Lorian Swamp further downstream. There are many different types of birds in Samburu, including some endemic ones like the palm-nut vulture and the Vinaceous dove. At night, it's possible to spot even the most elusive of cats, like leopards.
When darkness falls, head back to camp for dinner as well as an overnight rest.
Accommodation: Elephant Bedroom Camp
Meal Plan: all meals included
After eating breakfast, you can spend the day exploring the Samburu National Reserve and the neighboring Buffalo Springs National Park. A visit to one of these reserves is a guaranteed encounter with elephants, gazelles, uncommon birds, and ostriches.
The customs of the Samburu people are really interesting. As the day progresses, we will go to a Samburu community, where we will learn about the history and culture of the Samburu people. The Samburu are a nomadic Nilotic people that are closely related to the Maasai by blood and language. The sun setting in a brilliant crimson over the Samburu region, the sound of birdsong along the riverbanks, and the sight of a leopard crossing and hunting are all wonderful ways to round out a safari.
In the evening, head back to camp for dinner and the night.

After breakfast, go south to drive via beautiful landscapes on your way to your camp at the base of Mount Kenya, where you can settle in over a hearty lunch and check in. Go on a game drive in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy later in the day. Oj Pejeta is the largest sanctuary for black rhinos in East Africa, and it is also the only known home to two of the three remaining northern white rhinos. Only in Kenya can you see chimpanzees who have been rescued from the wild. This conservancy is home to cheetahs, zebras, and other wild animals. One of the most enjoyable methods to discover the northern white rhino's cage is on the back of a horse. Get out of the car and see what happens when a horse and a rhino, two distant relatives, collide. An up-close encounter with the rare northern whites, as well as southern white rhinos and plains animals like warthogs and ostriches, can be had on a horseback safari.
See breathtaking sunsets, sleep soundly at the Oj Pejeta Bush Camp, and greet the day amid the sights and sounds of the African wilderness.

Take a safari to Lake Nakuru National Park after an early morning game drive and breakfast, stopping briefly to take in the stunning landscape of Thompson Falls along the way. Once we check in at the Cliff and have some lunch, we'll head out for a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. Beautiful and abundant with hills and grassland woodlands, Lake Nakuru National Park is very breathtaking. Along the side of the lake, you will almost certainly spot a white rhino and a Rothschild giraffe. The park protects one of the greatest black rhinoceros populations in Kenya. Parks that are home to animals like zebras, hippos, olive baboons, vervet monkeys, Columbus monkeys, waterbucks, and hyenas are another example of thriving biodiversity. Buffalo, cheetahs, leopards, and even tree-climbing lions can all be found in this park. Large pythons, including African pythons, can be spotted hanging from trees in the forest; these snakes can engulf prey whole.
Your lodge's offers delicious dinner and a comfortable place to sleep for the night.
Accommodation: The Cliff
Meal Plan: all meals included
After a delicious breakfast, your safari to the beautiful Maasai Mara National Reserve will begin. When we get to Zebra Plains, we'll have a mocktail to celebrate our arrival and then a big lunch. We've been waiting for this moment all morning, and now it's finally here. Instead of doing what everyone else does, we go on a guided walking safari over the large camp grounds. You'll emerge from this experience feeling closer to the earth. Wearing long pants, a long-sleeved shirt, and closed shoes are recommended for a walk in the wilderness. You'll head back to camp to clean up and relax in the pool if the weather's nice later.
Every night around sunset, the camp throws a legendary sundowner (which you can always pay directly at USD 75 per person). You'll eat dinner and turn in early because you have to get up early the next day.
Accommodation: Zebra Plains Mara Camp
Meal Plan: all meals included
Enjoy a full day of wildlife viewing in the expansive Maasai Mara, beginning with a hearty breakfast and ending with a picnic lunch in the bush (450 USD per person). The day's activities include a trip to a traditional Maasai hamlet, where visitors can observe traditional Maasai ways of life, such as the jumping and dancing of locals and the intricate beadwork they create. Learn about the social and economic dynamics of a Maasai family by visiting a traditional hamlet.
Keep your eyes peeled for the Big Five, a group of animals for which the Masai Mara is famous. Picnicking in the middle of the open plains makes for great memories and great pictures on this day.
Following a day of exploring the wilderness, you can relax with a glass of freshly squeezed juice at camp, get cleaned up, have supper, and call it a night.
Accommodation: Zebra Plains Mara Camp
Meal Plan: all meals included
Today is our last full day of safari, so after breakfast we will be leaving Zebra Plains. It's hard to believe, but all of our fun in the bush has come to an end. In the morning, we will check out of the hotel and begin our safari back to Nairobi in plenty of time for our flights. I didn't leave empty-handed, though. We have beautiful pictures and presents with us (a memory of the special moments we had in our tour to immortalize the experience). You will be dropped off at JKIA by our knowledgeable guide driver.
For lunch today, we'll be meeting you in Narok, where you can try some authentic local fare the way it's meant to be eaten: with simple ingredients and straightforward preparation.
We trust you will share your positive experience with others and provide feedback on our digital platforms.
