An early and hearty breakfast awaits you on your first full day in the park. A game drive into the park follows. The oldest park in Kenya is Nairobi National Park. Despite its proximity to a major metropolis, it serves as a safe haven for a wide variety of Kenyan wildlife, including lions, leopards, hyenas, and the endangered black rhino. The Big Five animals (lions, leopards, buffaloes, and rhinos) can be seen here, but unfortunately elephants are missing. Additional animals that are frequently seen include elands, wildebeests, giraffes, hippos, and crocodiles in the Embakasi River.

The following morning, after breakfast, you will go on a game drive through the park. From July through October, the park hosts a migration of 1.5 million wildebeests and zebras in search of water and grazing. The months of July and August are prime time for witnessing this remarkable phenomenon. The critically endangered black rhinoceros is safe here, and the park even sells animals to neighboring preserves. Lions, cheetahs, leopards, giraffes, hyenas, buffaloes, and zebras are just few of the other impressive animals that may be seen in the park. Moreover, rhinos can be bred in special reserves. Today is dedicated fully to seeing more of the park.
