Tour Plan
You'll begin your safari by being picked up at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi and driven to the nearby Ololo Lodge. Ololo's location on the outskirts of Nairobi National Park is ideal for kicking off a family vacation; not only will you be able to see the park's wildlife from your hotel room, but you'll also have time for an afternoon game drive. Buffalo, giraffes, zebras, rhinos, lions, and an incredible variety of birds may all be seen in the park. When you return to camp, you and your family can relax in a spacious 3-bedroom suite complete with two full bathrooms and in-room Wi-Fi.
You will return to Nairobi and Wilson Airport for a local flight to Samburu National Reserve after breakfast. Samburu, in Kenya's drier north, provides visitors with an alternative wildlife experience to that of the more well-known Masai Mara and Serengeti. Samburu is home to the likes of the elephant and lion, as well as the gerenuk and besia oryx. Your home for the next three nights will be the magnificent tent camp of Samburu Intrepids, where you may go on game drives, walks, and cultural exchanges with the local Samburu people. In addition to a wellness therapist, gourmet dining, and nightly talks on natural history, the adults and children in your party will have access to the Internet, a swimming pool, and an activity club.
The magnificent rolling plains of the Masai Mara lie to the south, and you can get there on a regularly scheduled domestic aircraft today. Mara Intrepids is located on the banks of the Mara River, in a wildlife-rich area not far from the river's namesake national park. In the middle of the year, when the wildebeest migrate, you can see tens of thousands of them here. Because of the abundance of wildlife, you and your family may look forward to thrilling encounters with exotic creatures at any time of year. Mara Intrepids is fenced off and safe for strolling and birdwatching despite the abundance of big cats, hyenas, and crocodiles in the surrounding area. Your kids will have access to Wi-Fi and go on safari with knowledgeable guides to look for wildlife and get to know the Maasai people and the good the camp does in the area. The stay is both luxurious and instructive, with nightly wildlife slide shows and a spacious three-bedroom tent with a deck overlooking the Talek River.
You will be returned to the airstrip after breakfast at Mara Intrepids and flown back to Nairobi's Wilson Airport. The safari concludes with a transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, from whence you can continue on to your next destination.
