2 Days Lake Nakuru National Park Tour/Safari
Among the most significant national parks in Kenya is the Lake Nakuru National Park, which is described as lying at the base of the Riftvalley. A home to over 400 species of birds, and over 100+ species of animals, this lake is a such a thrilling expedition site with its millions of flamingos in and around the lake that create a canopy like scenerio. Among the important fauna within it’s viscinity are the endangered rhinos; both the black and the white. It also accomodates the Rothschild’s giraffe, which is such a rare animal around the world.
In the recent past, the rising height/depth of its waters following the reclamation of its catchment area (Mau Forest), has made the late to expand and even wash away it’s breadths. It covers a roughly 188 square kilometers. This lake is one of the UNESCO world heritage sites, with so much activity been done to conserve it’s flora and fauna.
There are various tourits activties that goes in the park such as hiking, bird watching and game drives. Outside the park is the great Nakuru city, which is a home of other tourists attractions such as the Menengai Crater and Lake Elementaita among other.

Our day 1 (one) will start by picking you up from the airport (JKIA), or your residing Nairobi hotel and then proceed to a Nakuru Park road drive. We assume that you will have had breakfast served a bit early and probably check out from your hotel by 7:00 latest. The distance between Nairobi and Nakuru is 160.8 kilometres, a journey estimated to take three and half hours (3.5 hours) on a normal traffic-flow situation. Along the way, you will have a stop over at the Rift Valley View point. This stop will give you a chance to have a scenic view of the Rift Valley escarpment, parts of the floor of the Rift Valley, and the iconic Mount Longonot. Our estimation would be to get to Lake Nakuru Lodge (or any other as per the itinerary) by mid-day, and therefore have a lunch, as we take a break from the 3+ hour drive from Nairobi. In the afternoon, we’d do a game drive where we expect to spot several animals, and obviously get thrilled by the millions of flamingos on the shores of the lake. We close our day one by getting back to the hotel, for our dinner and then spend our night there.
You will have breakfast early as usual, so that we can have our morning game drive at least to see most the wildlife that are available during the morning hours. We expect to see giraffes, cheetahs, leopards, gazelles, lions, among other. After the morning drive, we will leave back for Nairobi, and probably anticipate to have lunch slightly past the normal hour at a hotel we will recommend, or whatever choice (but within the budget of your itinerary) you propose. After lunch, we will drop you at your residence hotel, or at the airport, in case you are proceeding to another destination.

We always stay at here when in town. The location is great, staff is wonderful and we love the overall feel. Beautiful view from the here.
It is a great place to shop not too far from New York. We took the bus from Port Authority and traveled through the countryside to get there.
This is the best tour on the east coast! It was amazing how many places we visited and what great memories we made!
