Details

Day 1: Pick up from Nairobi-Destination Lake Nakuru National Park

Our day 1 (one) will start by picking you up from the airport (JKIA), or your residing Nairobi hotel and then proceed to a Nakuru Park road drive. We assume that you will have had breakfast served a bit early and probably check out from your hotel by 7:00 latest. The distance between Nairobi and Nakuru is 160.8 kilometres, a journey estimated to take three and half hours (3.5 hours) on a normal traffic-flow situation. Along the way, you will have a stop over at the Rift Valley View point. This stop will give you a chance to have a scenic view of the Rift Valley escarpment, parts of the floor of the Rift Valley, and the iconic Mount Longonot. Our estimation would be to get to Lake Nakuru Lodge (or any other as per the itinerary) by mid-day, and therefore have a lunch, as we take a break from the 3+ hour drive from Nairobi. In the afternoon, weโ€™d do a game drive where we expect to spot several animals, and obviously get thrilled by the millions of flamingos on the shores of the lake. We close our day one by getting back to the hotel, for our dinner and then spend our night there.

Day 2: Game drive at Lake Nakuru- Drive back to Nairobi

You will have breakfast early as usual, so that we can have our morning game drive at least to see most the wildlife that are available during the morning hours. We expect to see giraffes, cheetahs, leopards, gazelles, lions, among other. After the morning drive, we will leave back for Nairobi, and probably anticipate to have lunch slightly past the normal hour at a hotel we will recommend, or whatever choice (but within the budget of your itinerary) you propose. After lunch, we will drop you at your residence hotel, or at the airport, in case you are proceeding to another destination.
