We stop at the equator to take photographs of the crossing, stretch our legs, and enjoy some snacks. Then we go to Igongo cultural village where we visit Ankole Museum. The lessons learned at Ankole and Bahima cultures of Uganda, getting a glimpse into the history of these interesting people. We stop for lunch in Mbarara and then head to the forest. It is famous for its gorilla population, dense rainforest, fertile and rich soil in the world, and home to various animals, primates, insects, and exotic birds.
You will then dine amid the forest and verdant hills of Bugambira near Bwindi.
Meal Included: Lunch and Dinner
Get up, earl, for a gorilla-tracking adventure. The park rangers will brief the whole group before beginning the adventure to ensure the safety and that of the great apes. The trek normally takes three to six hours approximately. We recommend that you wear good pair of shoes and long trousers.
You will be led by the rangers past the village gardens and into the woodland that resembles a jungle. They will accompany you while you seek gorillas through the (sometimes) deep jungle, occasionally chopping them with a machete. The apes are always being watched as part of anti-poaching operations, so you're practically certain to spot them!
You will be able to interact with different families in their natural environment as they play, feed, or just sleep. The gorillas usually have some form of curiosity as they see humans. You will be given an hour with the apes before returning to the returning base. Afterward, in the evening, you will be taken back to the airport for departures to your various places.
