14 Days Tanzania and Zanzibar Honeymoon Combined Safari

Overview
We’ve put together a sample itinerary for a two-week trip to Tanzania and Zanzibar for a honeymoon. One of the most popular honeymoon destinations in Africa is a trip to Tanzania, where the bride and groom can enjoy a safari and some downtime on the beach. More and more couples are venturing to Africa for their honeymoon, and the best itinerary includes a wildlife safari in Northern Tanzania followed by some R&R on the semi-autonomous island of Zanzibar. In our opinion, a honeymoon safari in Tanzania and a relaxing stay on Zanzibar’s beach for 14 days is the greatest way to spend a honeymoon.

Tour Plan
Our safari manager will meet you at Kilimanjaro International Airport today to officially kick off your time in Tanzania. He'll pick you up in a spotless private car and take you to the lodge, where you may check in and unwind for the day. Pre-safari briefings can be conducted either en route to the Ilboru Safari Lodge or upon arrival. The price includes a meal.
Your safari driver will take you up from the resort shortly after breakfast (at around 8:00 AM) and bring you to Tarangire National Park, which is around two hours away from Arusha. Tarangire National Park is a famed home for the vast elephant herds and many other creatures. Your safari guide will help you complete the necessary registration procedures upon your arrival before taking you on your first game drive. Tarangire's seasonal Tarangire River is the park's lifeblood, making game drives along its banks exciting all year round. Animals return to the river to drink, and in doing so, they become easy prey for the predators who lurk in the area. Animals as diverse as elephants, lions, zebras, buffaloes, impalas, gazelles, and even the long-necked gerenuks and oryxes are possible sightings. Spend the day going on game drives in the Tarangire, and then head to a Tarangire Baobab Camp in the late afternoon for dinner and the night. Including food and drink.
The day at the Ngorongoro Crater begins with an early breakfast at the lodge or camp. After a short break at the Loduare Gate for registration, we'll continue on to the Crater's edge for breathtaking views of the floor below and a photo op. The drive across the Great Rift Valley and up its incredible escarpments will be fascinating. After that, we'll head down to the floor of the Crater for an entire day of fame drives. The 600-meter-high walls of Ngorongoro Crater operate as a natural barrier, allowing you to get up up and personal with a wide variety of species. You have the best chance of seeing the Big Five (elephants, lions, leopards, buffalo, and rhinos) on the Crater floor, which boasts the largest number of animals per area. We will be checking into the Marera Valley Lodge (in Karatu) or a neighboring tented camp in the late afternoon after a trip up to the Crater rim. Every meal of the day is paid for.
After a hearty breakfast at your lodge, the next stop on your Tanzania honeymoon safari will be Serengeti National Park, entered via the Naabi Hill Gate. After checking in at the gate, the rest of the day will be spent exploring the Serengeti in search of the various creatures and birds that call it home. As its Masai name suggests, Serengeti is the finest plains region in Africa to go on wildlife drives. Countless species of animals call the park their home, including zebras, giraffes, elephants, topis, impalas, hartebeests, jackals, and pangolins. We arrive to the Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge in the late afternoon, where we will have dinner, spend the night, and enjoy the much-anticipated open campfire. Including food and drink.
An early morning game drive in the Serengeti is highly recommended if you want to see some of the nocturnal animals as they come in following a night of hunting. Breakfast will be followed by more time spent roaming the Serengeti's vast plains. Your guide will take you to the best spots to see resident animals and the Great wildebeest migration herds, which congregate in different parts of the park at different times of the year. With any luck and the right timing, you can see the wildebeests make the perilous journey across the crocodile-infested Mara River on their way to the Kenyan grasslands of Masai Mara in search of food and water. During your stay at Hippo Trails Camp or Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge, you will have the chance to go on two full days of game drives in the Serengeti's enormous plains. Including food and drink.
Check out of the lodge or camp after breakfast, and take a shuttle that includes game drives to the Serengeti's closest airstrip so you can catch a flight to Zanzibar. When you arrive in Zanzibar, our representative will be there to take you to the most romantic hotel on the island. hotel rooms at either the Pongwe Beach Hotel (Sea View Suites) or the Zuri Zanzibar Boutique Hotel, as well as one night's stay at either hotel.
Now is the perfect opportunity to enjoy some time at one of the world's finest beaches. You've chosen a beachfront hotel that caters to the needs of newlyweds to spend these days relaxing and enjoying one other's company. Our tour guides can organize excursions to the Spice Plantation, Stonetown, the Dolphins, Prison Island, and the Jozani Forest, among other places, to suit your interests and schedule. Sunset dhow rides and safari blue rides are also available. Stay in a Sea View Suite at the Pongwe Beach Hotel or an Ocean Front Suite at the Zuri Zanzibar Boutique Hotel. You have a reservation that includes supper and breakfast (half board).
You will have breakfast at the hotel and then have some time to relax before checking out (at 10 a.m.). Depending on your departure time, you will be taken to the Zanzibar airport. There is the option of reserving a day room for a fee.
