Overview
The Selous and the Ruaha have the greatest concentrations of wildlife in Africa, although being much less well-known than their northern equivalents. A broad variety of A-list animals may be seen roaming the area due to the variety of environments, which range from a desert-like grassland to wetlands and from rocky outcrops to Baobab trees. This is a great option for families with older children or teenagers, as game drives and boat safaris add to the excitement.

Tour Plan
Nyerere National Park is about a 45-minute flight from Dar es Salaam, Tanzania's bustling capital in the south. The luxurious tented suites at Siwandu Camp on the shores of Lake Nzerakera will provide you with a true "back to nature" sensation while still providing all the amenities necessary for a first-rate safari vacation. Because the camp is not walled off and many animals may be present at night, it is highly recommended that families stay in the interconnected rooms of a family tent.
After a day of safari exploration, guests can unwind in the hotel's inviting common room or the pool's shady environs. Over-16s are welcome at the camp, and walking safaris and fly-camping adventures are on offer.
Nyerere National Park is a paradise for intrepid safari travelers. It's three times the size of South Africa's famous Kruger National Park and home to Africa's largest and least-hunted animal populations, making for an unforgettable safari adventure. Nyerere's safaris are tranquil and authentic because you won't run into other tourists.
Due to its exceptional topography, children can enjoy a wide variety of game activities, from boat rides on the river to game drives in open-sided cars, all while seeing a wide variety of species. The dry season (July–October) is the best time to visit because of the extraordinary concentration of game around water sources, making for fascinating and regular game sightings that keep children engaged.
After your morning excursion with Siwandu, you'll be taken to the airport for your 1.5-hour flight to Ruaha.
Nyerere is known for its verdant, watery terrain, while Ruaha is more typical of a desert, with its arid savannah flats, rocky outcrops, and otherworldly baobab trees. Moreover, Ruaha National Park is home to the greatest concentration of elephants in all of Tanzania.
You will be staying at the luxurious Ikuka Safari Camp, which is located on the edge of the park's central escarpment and boasts breathtaking panoramas. Up to five people can stay in the family banda, and campers of all ages are welcome.
During your stay, you will participate in activities twice a day, primarily consisting of game drives in open-sided vehicles. Nonetheless, persons over the age of 16 can also go on walking safaris.
The park has a thriving population of big cats, so family may enjoy seeing lions, elephants, leopards, and crocodiles, among other animals.
A trip to the beach seems in order after spending nearly a week on safari.
If you're taking a domestic flight to Zanzibar, Ikuka Safari Lodge will get you to the airport in plenty of time. The flight is stunning, especially as you get closer to Zanzibar and catch sight of the island's azure waters below.
You will be welcomed at Zanzibar Airport by a driver and taken to the Baraza Resort & Spa, where you will spend the next five nights in a Two-Bedroom Villa with all meals and drinks included. The all-inclusive resort is set in magnificent gardens along a long stretch of white sand beach on the Michamvi Peninsula on the eastern coast of the island, about an hour's drive from the airport.
Baraza is home to thirty unique villas. We suggest the two-bedroom Garden View Villa or the more luxurious Sultan's Sea Facing Villa for families.
Baraza is one of the greatest places on the island to stay with kids because it has a ton of great facilities and great lodging alternatives. Beautiful sandy beach, calm lagoon, pool, gardens, water sports center, and kids' club are just some of the amenities here. Child care services like babysitting are also offered. On one of Tanzania's breathtaking Spice Islands, families may relax in paradise, swim in an infinity pool, dive in clear waters, or just read a book while the waves lazily lap at their feet.
Your trip to Tanzania comes to an end today. It's time to say goodbye to the sea breezes and head to Zanzibar Airport to catch your international flight, where you'll no doubt be thinking back on your amazing trip.
